Top sleuth finds Jersey petition site
But it turns out we can't sign it, after all, unless we live there
Well, that didn’t take long. Naturism Community member Peter Stokes found the petition site I mentioned in the preceding post asking that a section of beach in Jersey in the Channel Islands be designated a nudist beach.
As you’ll see when you click into it, it has about 80 signatures now and needs 1,000 for a minister to respond to it and 5,000 for it to be considered in the State Assembly.
Sadly, when I tried to sign it, I was denied the opportunity because my IP address is not in Jersey.
Sigh . . . It’s a pity because if they are trying to attract tourists, I feel we as potential tourists should be allowed to sign.
Anyway, a big thank you to Peter for finding it. He is our top sleuth now!
Cheers
Jillian
This looks like an "official" petition of some sort so they would likely be checking the "signantures" for validity. Jersey is a small place and they wouldn't want the whole world to influence what gets sponsored in the Jersey legislature.
