When I go for a freehike, I am naked. Not nude. Nakedness has implications of vulnerability and exposure. I want to be exposed to the universe. I want to feel the sun and wind on my skin. I want to be vulnerable to the thorns and the poison oak. It makes me a more mindful hiker.

I want it to be a sensual experience and not an abstract, sanitary exercise…
