Let's create a naturism community here
Welcome to The Naturism Community.
First things first: I am obligated to point out to the uninitiated that naturism, a.k.a. social nudism, is not about pornography, erotica or the swingers’ scene, though the latter may incorporate that into their social nudism activities. So, this is not a site for voyeurism.
Of course, true naturists know this already. But for those who may not know much about naturism, here is a brief summary, courtesy of Wikipedia:
Naturism is a lifestyle of non-sexual nudity, and the cultural movement which advocates and defends that lifestyle. Both may also be referred to as nudism. Though the two terms are largely interchangeable, nudism emphasizes the practice of nudity, whereas naturism highlights an attitude favoring harmony with nature and respect for the environment, into which that practice is integrated. That said, naturists come from a range of philosophical and cultural backgrounds; there is no single naturist ideology. Naturism may be practiced individually, within a familial or social context, or in public.
With that out of the way, I’ve been writing about naturism since 2013 for both my old Montreal Gazette blog and my personal wordpress blog, neither of which were exclusively about naturism.
So, I thought I would try launching a newsletter in this setting focusing solely on naturism. I’ll share some of my previous posts here, such as one about my social nudism debut. That’s up next.
There will be a nominal fee, essentially coffee money, for full participation here. But there will be free posts, too. I have written more than 10,000 blog posts on various subjects in different settings over the years and earned nothing for any of them. Even my newspaper blog was a freebie — which I had to do in my personal time, not on work time. I’ve consumed a lot of coffee while writing all those posts, so now I’ll be asking faithful readers to buy me a couple of cups a month to keep me fuelled while I write about a subject that is close to many people’s hearts.
We’ll see how it goes.

P.S. If you’re wondering about the painting of the woman writing at a table, it is Carl Larsson’s Model writing postcards, 1906, via Wikimedia Commons.

In the meantime, tell your friends!
